Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is a beautiful place all round but in desperate need of being updated. While dinner reservations were initially not possible due to short-staffing, the rooms were comfortable despite the noise from the kitchens until late evening.
The hotel is nestled in a lovely village with access to three pubs and a steam railway, offering a cozy country house experience. The rooms are clean and tidy, providing all essentials for a pleasant stay. The restaurant serves exceptional food with a varied menu, and the breakfast is of high quality. However, the rooms could have been a bit bigger to enhance comfort during the stay.
The hotel is situated in a picturesque location, just a short walk to the castle and a 15-minute drive to the beach. The rooms, with their many comfy chairs and a grand open fireplace, outside the main hotel building, offered a cozy stay, although a bit of a downside was the need for some organization during dining. The service was excellent, the dining experience was delightful but slightly chaotic, and the location was exceptional near Corfe village and with easy parking access.
